Alicia Griffith: Lakeside Murder
This is a good casual point-and-click adventure. Note that it is not a hidden-object game: there are no hidden-object scenes. There are, however, many relatively easy puzzle mini-games.
The adventure puzzles are logical, satisfying, and sometimes clever, involving combining items or using them in non-obvious ways. But this is all done while keeping with a nice and casual level of difficulty.
Another strong point is the use of voice narration for almost every element of the game. This does wonders for keeping you identified with the protagonist and immersed in the story.
Though the story and characters are forgettable, the game world is coherent enough to keep you engaged. The mystery you are investigating is quite cliché, but there are surprising twists to the story. (Well, relatively surprising.)
All in all, a good experience for fans of casual point-and-click adventures. Recommended!
