Brink of Consciousness: The Lonely Hearts Murders

A nice story-driven casual point-and-click adventure, with several easy mini-games and hidden-object scenes. The story is engaging and very well crafted, with excellent dialog and voice acting. However, note that gameplay is very casual, so much so that you might even consider this game to be a visual novel.

This game is unconnected to the first installment in the Brink of Consciousness series, and indeed you can play them in any order. (There's an attempt to connect the two in the bonus chapter of this game, but it doesn't change the fact that you can play them in any order.)

The story is better crafted than the first game, but the puzzles are much easier. Still, they are original and satisfying. Move the ball around, yay. Make all the lights light up, yay.

If you've played such games before, I strongly recommend playing in "expert" level to at least give yourself a minimal brain challenge. But really, even at "expert," it's a very easy game.
