Chronicles of Mystery: The Scorpio Ritual
Well. The game ends flatly, as others have pointed out. But until the end, it's quite nice. The graphics are gorgeous, the storytelling and character development are engaging, and even the voice acting is excellent.
The gameplay is quite challenging at points, with some difficult adventure puzzles. They require patience, examining every object and scene carefully, and trying various solutions. You sometimes really have to think outside the box. Fans of adventure games will enjoy these... for the most part. Unfortunately, the mechanics can be frustrating. Often you cannot skip voice sequences, which gets annoying after the tenth time you hear the same description. Also, the pacing is a bit too slow, despite being able to run around by double-clicking.
Though I, like others, found the ending disappointing, I did enjoy the journey. But without a doubt this game feels like a miss.
