Conarium
This flawed game is beautiful, and a must-play for any fan of H. P. Lovecraft. Its world is lovingly crafted with some adoring attention to detail, from big explorable areas to small items you can pick up, as well as many well-written documents that you find along the way. Just don't expect the amount of content you would get in a AAA game; for its scope, though, this game uses its resources effectively.
Unfortunately, the gameplay elements are more frustrating than fun. Fortunately, there's not a lot of them: most of your time will be spent exploring and examining. But when there is a puzzle to solve, it will likely involve as much trial and error as logical deduction. You do not get indications as to whether you are on the right path. They're just unsatisfying.
There's also one chase scene that is simply awful. It seems completely randomized and your only hope to pass it is to keep trying until you succeed. It was not enough to ruin the experience for me, but there's simply no excuse for it.
Those expecting a "horror" action game will be disappointed: horror here, for the most part, is more psychological and existential, though there are a handful of jump scares.
