Dark Heritage: Guardians of Hope
A pretty good point-and-click adventure with several hidden-object scenes and puzzle mini-games. Though it's essentially a casual game, if played in expert mode, it can actually be quite challenging.
Though the gameplay is fun, unfortunately the story is very poorly told. There was obviously some thought given into the background story, but the developers were unable to tell it coherently. The ending, if anything, makes it even less coherent.
The visual design is an intriguing mix of real actor videos and artwork. Unfortunately, it does not mesh well. Also, the English voice acting is totally disconnected from the actors' lip movements: it was a poor choice to incorporate speech. Otherwise, while the graphics are adequate, the animations are amateurish and distracting. It would have been better to avoid animation entirely.
Finally, thank you, devs, for supporting Linux!
