FAR: Lone Sails

A beautiful little story with stunning graphical design and music.

Gameplay is simple but satisfying. Most of it is just managing your vehicle: collecting fuel, feeding the engine, putting out fires, etc. Nothing very challenging, but it's nicely done busywork. There are several puzzles, too, all quite simple. I kinda wish the game had leaned more into the puzzles and exploration, but for what it is I am happy.

One real annoyance is the zoom functionality. You often want to zoom in or out to absorb all the details, but the zoom controls require you to keep buttons pressed. I think this is a silly decision. I spent much of the game zoomed out, meaning that my right trigger was constantly pressed.

Also, it's too bad that the game doesn't support HDR, though Auto-HDR in Windows 11 works really well here.
