Hidden Through Time 2: Discovery
I gave Hidden Through Time 2: Myths and Magic a thumbs down because I felt it added nothing meaningful to the original Hidden Through Time, which already had online user-created content. Myths and Magic also had wide fluctuations in puzzle quality, leading to an unsatisfactory experience as a whole.
I'm happy to say that Discovery is a more consistent and straightforward entry in the series. It's also easier and shorter: I completed it in half the time as Myths and Magic. But that's actually a positive considering how frustrating some of the Myths and Magic levels could be.
One very weird annoyance is that when you find an object the clue disappears! Sometimes I found objects via a random click and thus never got to know what the clue was. What an odd design decision. Sad face.
The bottom line is that if you enjoyed the original Hidden Through Time then you can skip Myths and Magic and go straight to Discovery. Or not. It's not really necessary. And it could easily have just been a DLC for the first game.
