Hope Lake
This casual point-and-click adventure suffers from being too homogeneous: you keep returning to the same locations and keep using objects with other objects, and even the music is the same all the time.
However, there is a lot of content: lots of beautifully drawn locations, lots of hidden-object scenes, and quite a few nice puzzle mini-games. The story is somewhat sophisticated, too, and told slowly throughout the game until you piece together the whole picture at the end.
As others have mentioned, the English version of the game has a handful of mistakes in the hidden-object scenes with items that are incorrectly named. It could be a mistake in translation. Definitely annoying, but not such a big deal. There is a hint button if you get stuck, and there's no penalty for using it.
On that note: you will get 100% achievements upon completing the game. There are no skippable achievements.
It's not the best HOG ever made, and some might find it a bit boring, but I give it a thumbs up for the generous amount of content. There are several hours of decent play for fans of the genre.
