Industria
A stunningly beautiful experience wrapped around an unresolved science-fiction story. It is more of a walking simulator than a combat game.
The main reason to play Industria is to wander through and observe the game world. Everything is gorgeous and evocative. Level design, lighting, and little details all come together to create a very specific atmosphere.
Yes, there is some combat, and it's fine, but this is really not a combat game. The action is there to enhance the sense of danger and alienation.
If there's one criticism I have it's that the world feels a bit too empty. I would have loved to find more objects, documents, recordings, or anything else to tell more of a story and find out more about the characters. But perhaps this is intentional: the world is itself the heart of the narrative. Still, the linear nature of the experience means that you see a lot of fascinating things in the distance but can't go visit them. Obviously, there are limits to what a very small dev team can do, but it's worth pointing this out just so you know what to expect.
Also note that this game is not optimized for current hardware. If you want to max out all the graphical settings, especially the amazing ray-tracing features, you're going to need a very high-end GPU. Luckily DLSS is supported, but even then I had to set it to maximum performance mode in order to get a decent framerate at 4K.
And I have one feature request: please add HDR. :) The game is too pretty for plain-old SDR.
