Last Day of June
A charming little game set in a pretty, painterly world of warm memories and painful regrets. The soundtrack is subtly excellent.
That said, it's imperfect. Gameplay is slow, and the same unskippable cutscenes repeat far too many times. If all you want is to experience the story, it may try your patience. Luckily, it's just the right length and can be finished in an evening, so you won't suffer too much. And if you want to experience the gameplay, well, this is not the game for you.
The story itself, while touching, is rather shallow. That said, it is embellished with delightful little details, and even the melodrama is sprinkled with enough good-natured humor to make it palatable.
All in all, Last Day of June is a memorable experience that is greater than the sum of its parts.
