Little Briar Rose
The drawings are delightful and the dialog is sometimes amusing (but mostly tedious). The music is so so.
However, I cannot recommend this game because it's very, very annoying. The puzzles make no sense at all: you simply wander around the handful of screens and talk to characters until something happens. Some of the puzzles provide clues but they are deliberately vague. It's as if the designers went out of their way to frustrate you. To add insult to injury, one of the achievements, which you get if you fail enough times, is called "I Hate This Game." Unfortunately, this joke hit too close to home.
There are also mini-games. One sort is based on fast mouse movement and quick clicking. I don't think anybody in the history of gaming has ever enjoyed these. The others are somewhat challenging mazes. They are not bad in themselves, but they seem entirely out of place for the game.
I did appreciate a clever twist in the plot in the end. Tiny little spoiler: you have to die at least once to unlock it.
Final nail in the coffin: it's very, very short.
All in all, there's definitely a lot of talent in this development team, but they don't yet know how to make a game that is actually fun to play. I suggest that for future projects they start from a good game idea instead of an artistic design concept.
