Lofty Quest
The concept has potential but is held back by poor design and programming. It's barely playable.
The 3D graphics are a mix of very low-resolution textures and 2D sprites. There is no depth perspective. The camera is locked towards one point and its controls are too floaty. Something is very wrong with the lighting making a lot of areas dark and crushed. And there is a blurry, boca effect that seems to turn on at random and make it all even more frustrating. The game settings never remembered my resolution change, and generally were impossible to use during play due to bugs.
There is a basic story, too, but it's told via extremely annoying, slow, unskippable dialog from "characters".
Some of the hidden items were clever, requiring you do look at the scene from a very specific angle and zoom. But ... there were only a handful of these in the entire game. The vast majority were trivial.
Again, there's potential in this kind of game. But there's a lot more work needed to get there.
