Magic Encyclopedia: Moon Light
This is not really a hidden-object game, but rather a hidden-shape game. The objects are dissected into arbitrary shapes and hidden in the low-resolution background by placing them next to similarly colored and shaped textures. Some of the shapes are very small indeed, really just a handful of pixels of slightly different color from those next to them. If you enjoy "pixel hunting", this is the game for you! The rest of us, I think, would find this game frustrating and unsatisfying.
Note that this is not a casual point-and-click adventure, but rather a pure hidden-shape game interspersed with a few unoriginal puzzle mini-games. There is no voice acting, just repetitive music that perfectly matches the repetitive nature of this game. It's also rather short.
I must point out that the game does have some sophistication, for example you sometimes must work on two hidden-shape scenes at the same time, using discoveries in one to solve the other. That's a nice mechanic that I'd love to see more in this genre of games, as it lets you take a break when you're stuck and try something else for a while.
All in all, not very enjoyable for me, but I do think a certain kind of gamer might have fun with it.
