Midnight Mysteries 3: Devil on the Mississippi

This casual point-and-click adventure features top-notch art direction, with beautiful scenes, animations, sound design, and effective jump scares. The hidden-object scenes and puzzles are all OK, if not quite the best of the genre. They are also quite easy.

The story is well researched and has plenty of historical details to please anyone who enjoys Mark Twain and his era, as well as some Shakespeare thrown in for some variety. Unfortunately, these elements are woven into a story that is just too convoluted and hard to follow. Luckily, in this type of game the story is merely background and you don't have to worry your pretty little head about it if you don't want to. Just enjoy the superb art and casual gameplay.

Oddly, the achievements in this game are far more challenging than the casual gameplay implies. If you want the coveted 100% you will need to be very meticulous indeed, and in one case use some trickery to make sure you solve a puzzle in one go. Do you research before playing.
