Silent Descent

A short horror game that can be completed in one sitting. Throughout there are relatively simple puzzles and several gratuitous jump scares. It's based on a straightforward concept—repetition and mental deterioration—and it explores that one concept quite well.

I was close to giving it a thumbs up, but unfortunately the experience is severely hampered by many bugs, which are at this point the hallmark of Deceptive Games. These guys seem to believe in "sell it first and try to fix it later, maybe". Several times I had to restart the game to work around issues with mouse movement, on-screen artifacts, screen going dark, etc. There's a good game underneath but it's not worth the frustration.
