Sister's Secrecy: Arcanum Bloodlines [Premium Edition]
Ugh. I can forgive the low-rez graphics and clunky game engine, but there remain serious problems with this game.
First, forget about playing it in "expert mode": the game doesn't make enough sense to make that possible, unless you've played it before. Play it in "casual mode", and even then expect much bizarreness and frequent use of the "hint" button. "Well this definitely looks like a can of paint". And you need to moisten it using a goblet of angel tears. Of course, right?
Maybe it's my fault for playing in English? Maybe "viburnum fruit" means something more readily recognizable in other languages? Maybe. Well, my point is: expect the hidden-object scenes to be quite opaque (but still easy).
Other than the nonsensical gameplay, the other major flaw is the story and characters: they're there, but there's no chance you will care about any of that. The dialog is bad, and the voice acting (nice bonus!) is dialed in.
The graphics are fine, if inconsistent in style, despite the low resolution.
Fans of HOGs: unless you got this for free, spend your money and time on something better.
