Stormhill Mystery: Family Shadows

This is a lackluster and very short casual point-and-click adventure. Note that it does not have hidden-object scenes, though it does have a few simple puzzle mini-games.

Though the story is fairly polished, and even the bonus adventure links cleverly into it, it's nevertheless overly simple and predictable. The game throws in some Lovecraft mythos that adds nothing to the story and feels like a gimmick.

The animations are very good, a step up from what we usually see in these kinds of games. But that one impressive aspect does not lift this game out of mediocrity.

It's not bad, but just hard to recommend when there are so many better games in this genre.
