The Forest Quartet

You know from the very first moment in the game, in a beautifully rendered forest with tender narration in Danish, that The Forest Quintet is special.

This very short experience can be described as a heartful caress of grief around a simple, abstract puzzle game. But it's the ingredients that make it come together to art.

The color scheme is perhaps the most beautiful I have ever seen in a video game. The sound design is small and clear, the pacing soft and non-judgmental, and the music barely present, meandering in and out like a ghost.

Tears and smiles and a very strong recommendation from me.
