The Mysterious Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
A challenging hidden-object game that's heavy on reading. This is not a point-and-click adventure, rather you get lengthy textual cut-scenes interspersing hidden-object scenes and a few simple puzzle mini-games. The text is a faithful adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic. Graphics, text, and even music work together quite atmospherically to capture the feeling of late 19th century London.
The hidden-object scenes are not easy. Part of the difficulty is due to the very low resolution, but for the most part objects are fairly and cleverly hidden. You'll have to look very carefully to find some of them! The puzzles are trivial, but they do offer a nice break in pacing.
If you aren't interested in reading then you can skip through the text quickly and just play the hidden-object scenes. It would still be a nice experience. However, in my opinion this game's charm is in the combination of reading and gameplay.
