Witches' Legacy: The Charleston Curse

An exemplar of the genre. This first entry in the Witches' Legacy series is a superb game. The core is a casual point-and-click adventure that offers sensible point-and-click puzzles that reward logical thinking and memory. There is no map and no hand-holding and I love it. The hidden-object scenes are exceptionally well-balanced, tough but always fair. The story is routine, but offers a comfortable backdrop to the perfect gameplay.

Otherwise, there's some nice use of live video with the animation. The voice acting is fine, which is unfortunately rare in this genre. The puzzle mini-games might be too easy, but they really are not the focus.

Even the bonus adventure is excellent and offers suitably more challenging gameplay. It's oddly hard to find, though! Make sure to check the "extras" menu after you play the main game.

Very strongly recommended for fans of this genre!
