Jext:
A full-featured programmer's text editor, by Romain Guy. Requires at least JDK 1.3.
This is an excellent example of using Java URL's important license feature,
not available in Java Web Start. You must agree to the GNU
General Public License before any code is downloaded to your system.

This is a modification of the Notepad that comes with the JFC samples. Work's with JDK 1.1 as long as you have JFC.
Draw:
A pretty nifty vector-drawing tool. Requires at least JDK 1.2.
Network
JustFTP:
A simple FTP client. Requires at least JDK 1.2.
JavaNews:
A simple news reader. Work's with JDK 1.1 as long as you have JFC.
Entertainment
Military
Game: Your mind pitted against the software. Who will win? The software. Requires at least JDK 1.2.
Demos
SwingSet 2:
Whoa, this is a really big download. An excellent demonstration of how not
to make your application launch-ready. The entire thing is in one big JAR, where
it obviously can be divided into features. Requires at least JDK 1.3.
